June 26, 2008 - Event organizational meeting. Committees network to develop event plan, vision and mission statements, and organizational by-laws. Board of Directors was established for Memorial Go-Kart Inc.

Committees present and discuss plans. Plan developed to acquire big wheels for adult big wheel race.

July 15, 2008 - Committees address details for their event plan. Promotion of the event will begin. Karts have been started in Neenah. Refer to http://speedypete.org to see progress.

July 28, 2008 - "Racing Roundup" Radio program will be highlighting the Memorial Go-Kart Event. Station AM 540. The show starts at 6pm at Paulies pub on the corner of 81st and Greenfield across from State Fair Park and is broadcasted live.

September 7 - Practice Day at Slinger Speedway 11:00 - 1:00

September 13th - Race Day. Teams arrive at 4:00 pm. Due to weather the event was rescheduled for the raindate, September 20th

September 20th -Gates opened at 4:00 pm and racing began at 6:00.

November 5, 2008 Planning for the go-kart racing season begins. Memorial Go-Kart Event scheduled for Saturday, September 12, 2009.
