The Memorial Go-kart Event was inspired by a tragic accident that occurred on September 27, 2007 in the Slinger/Allenton community.

Parker Klumb and two of his friends were riding their bicycles to the local gas station for refreshments after a school project. They were struck from behind, on a local country road, by a motor vehicle. The driver immediately fled the scene. Tragically, Parker lost his life that day in the arms of his best friend. However, his friends and family knew that Parker had a dream that he wasn’t able to fulfill. That dream was to build a go-kart and race it with his friends.

Parker and his friends are the inspiration for the development of the Memorial Go-Kart Event and Memorial Go-Karts Inc.
